Today we are spotlighting our member The Get Together Events Co. (formerly Your Wedding by Lauren)! This planning company was founded in 2016 by Lauren Schaefer.

The Get Together Events Co. is your month-of wedding and event coordination company, offering affordable planning services, peace of mind and damn good times to Nashville as well as New York and Chicago.

What is your trademark or super power?

My super power is cloning myself! Your Wedding by Lauren is more than just "Lauren"! We have a team of 10 managers so we can handle multiple weddings on one day. I've trained the heck out of my managers and they all bring exceptional skills to the job.

Do you have a signature aesthetic?

Nope! Being specifically month-of wedding coordinating, we adapt our logistical skills to whatever style and aesthetic our client is looking to create. We've done it ALL! Weddings with a Star Wars theme, puppet talent show, Beyonce impersonator, confetti canons, flash mobs, etc. You name it, we've done it. That's why we named the name of the company YOUR Wedding by Lauren (It's not my wedding, it's whatever you want YOUR Wedding to be!)

What inspired you to enter the event industry?

As basic as it sounds, planning my junior prom in high school! We were the first prom to ever be planning in Thompson Bowling Arena (Go Vols) so it was pretty cool. I was always a theater kid and seeing the prom come together like one big production really lit a spark in me that I didn't know that I had! From there, it was no turning back and I've been in the event industry my entire career- from academic events, corporate conferences, black tie galas, and of course private events like weddings, I've been in events my entire career!

What are the first steps you take with new clients?

The first step I take with all potential new clients is to hop on the phone with them to get to know them as humans better and hear about their hopes/dreams/fears for their wedding! As your wedding coordinator I will be all up in your business on your wedding day so it's crucial that we all vibe well!

Where’s the craziest place you’ve ever worked?

The TWA Hotel in New York City. We were the first wedding in the newly renovated airport terminal and the after party was in a jet. The wedding was so unreal it was featured in Vogue.

On my days off you can find me…

I don't have many of those, but when I do, you'll most likely find me reading in my hammock with my pup, Joanie!

I’m dying to take a trip to…

The American Southwest. I'm itching to rent an RV and make an epic road trip out of it!

If you owned a restaurant, what food would it serve?

Technically margaritas aren't a food... so queso to go with said margaritas :)
