Membership in the Nashville Wedding Planners Group is a wonderful way to meet amazing vendors, grow you business, and build relationships with other great planners.


A member in good standing will enjoy the following membership benefits:

  • 12 annual gatherings, including 4 vendor meetings

  • Advertising on external websites and press releases

  • Listing on the website.

  • Features through blog posts, social media “shoutouts” and more

  • Access to resource guides and directories

  • Access to the member Facebook page, (a very valuable outlet and resource for asking questions and communicating with other planners)

  • Invitations to group meetings and educational programs with other planners and wedding professionals.

  • Opportunity to hold office (after having been a member for one year)

Member Requirements

  • Members {planners} attend at least 4 meetings during the year.

  • Join and actively participate in one of the committees

  • Members will abide by the Code of Ethics, bylaws, and guidelines of the group.

  • Provide support, information, and resources to other members {planners} to help with their business.

  • Provide content or resources for the use on the website, social media, or marketing as requested.


Each member must be an active participant in a committee.

  • Education and Vendor Community

  • Social and Outreach

  • Admin and Membership

Code of Ethics

  • Members will keep things that are said in the group meetings, round table events, closed Facebook page, and conversations confidential. It shall not to be shared with anyone outside of the group.

  • Members will strive to provide the highest quality of service at every level.

  • Members will communicate professionals with colleagues, vendors, associates and all persons in the event industry.

  • Members will not advertise/market/promote in a false or inaccurate manner.

  • Members will attend educational programs to increase professional growth and knowledge of the industry as available online or in person.

  • Members will contribute expertise to meetings and encourage constructive dialogue between colleagues.

  • Members will abide by the NWPG bylaws, policies, and guidelines.

  • Members will not defame any member or non-member, by making false statements or accusations that will potentially injure his or her reputation or personal integrity.

  • Members will uphold professional working standards.

New Membership Requirements

2019 New Planner Membership:  $225
(Pro-rated: $150 for July – December applications)

  • Demonstrate excellence as a wedding planner

  • Own a wedding planning business in the Middle Tennessee area

  • Have a business license/DBA/Tax ID

  • Business Insurance with at least $1million in coverage

  • Prior completion of at least 10 weddings as the paid wedding planner with signed contracts for each.

  • PDF Itineraries with vendor list and photos from 3 past weddings

  • Link to online wedding reviews

Membership applications will not be considered complete until the full application and supporting documents are submitted.  Your information will be reviewed and verified. The Board of Directors will consider your application for approval.
