What made you go into the business of Little Seed Farm?

We lived in NYC and worked long hours at jobs that didn't inspire us, or make us feel like we were giving anything back to the world. Our dream was to start a business together that would give back to our community and help inspire others to pursue their dreams. As we brainstormed various ideas, we kept coming back to food and farming and eventually decided we could start our own farm and make it work. At the end of 2013 James was able to quit his job and now we're both full-time on the farm, which is literally a dream come true.

What are all the different ways brides can use your products?

Our soaps are typically used as favors for wedding or shower guests. They are custom designed to fit the aesthetic of any wedding. We can also work with any size of order.

Some personal questions about James & Eileen:

Mac or PC?

That's the perfect question for us. Eileen does all of the design and branding work on a Mac, while James is the number cruncher and prefers to use a PC. There is a well-known battle between the two in our household.

Tea or Coffee?

Coffee and tea are regularly brewed, as well as espresso. We'll take our caffeine any way we can get it!

Favorite Things To Do in Nashville?

If we can get away from the farm, it's usually to get some good food and drink some local beers. We like to wander around and explore the shops in East Nashville and spend a day picnic-ing at the park, people watching. It's pretty easy to entertain dairy farmers.

Favorite Song Right Now?

These are controversial questions! Eileen's favorite at the moment is "Right Time" by Nikki Lane. James mostly listens to The Darkness and The Handsome Furs, and his favorite local band is Alanna Royale.
